NoTrack Coder 2.8.86 adds steering: you can now send a message into a turn that's already running — without stopping it — and the agent folds your words into the work it's doing right now. No more waiting for it to finish, or cancelling and starting over, just to add a correction.
Message the agent mid-work
While the agent is working, type a message and press Enter — it appears as a queued message (the dashed bubble), exactly as before. What's new is a second control on that bubble:
- cancel (top) removes the queued message — unchanged.
- send (bottom, new) folds that message into the current running turn immediately.
Press send and NoTrack Coder interrupts the current step and continues — now taking your added message into account. It does not start a separate new turn; your steer becomes part of the work already in progress.
Steer as often as you need
A few details worth knowing:
- It reacts right away. The current model generation is cut and the step re-runs with your text added, so the agent responds to your steer immediately — not after it finishes what it was doing.
- Your message stays visible. The steered message remains in the chat as your message (it's never lost), and a small "steering — folding your message into the current work…" card appears to confirm it landed.
- Multiple steers stack. Send several and they're folded in, in order.
- No turn running? It just sends. If nothing is in progress when you press send, the message is sent normally.

Frequently asked questions
What is steering in NoTrack Coder?
Steering lets you send a message into a turn that is already running without stopping it. The agent interrupts its current step and folds your message into the work it's doing right now, instead of finishing first or starting a new turn.
How do I steer a running turn?
While the agent is working, type your message and press Enter to queue it, then press the new send control on the queued bubble. Your message is folded into the current turn immediately.
What is the difference between "cancel" and "send" on a queued message?
cancel removes the queued message from the queue. send folds it into the current running turn right away, so the agent acts on it mid-work rather than after the turn ends.
Does steering lose my message or start a new turn?
Neither. Your steered message stays visible in the chat as your message, and it is merged into the current turn — it does not begin a separate new turn.
What happens if I press send when nothing is running?
It simply sends the message normally, just like pressing Enter when the agent is idle.
